Successes at Happy Dogs Trial
Original sender: Wendy, Linda K, Erika----Here are selected BT accomplishments.
Joan Jamison and Boomer won the Grand Prix qualifier!
Nancy Damarodas also did extremely well with Hawkeye, but that accomplishment was quickly overshadowed by her acheiving Hawkeye's MAD a day or so later.
Dave Grubel earned a well-deserved ADCH with Tahoe, inspiring his wife,
Erika Maurer to win the Steeplechase with Chase. Or
maybe Erika inspired Dave - the runs were close together and
my fuddled brain doesn't recall the sequence.
Then, the third place DAM team was an all Bay Team entry - The
3 Sins (Cruisin' Chasin and Smokin's J's) comprised of Naomi
Harada (Cruiser), Erika Maurer (Chase) and Eric Bruce (JJ).
Congratulations on all accomplishments (hey, I [wendy] also got my first
Masters standard leg with Pippin and took first place in Snooker
with Indigo - in Standard we couldn't get more than 3 obstacles
in sequence, but snooker sure was fast and fun!)
(From Linda)Other N Cal handler achievements - Sandra Rogers and Brink earned their ADCH on Wed, qualifying in all 5 runs. I think they were also one of the few (3) teams to qualify on the second day's M Gambler class!
(From Erika)Actually, Chase and I won Round *1* of the Steeplechase, but had dropped bars (oops) and an issue with the tire in the finals. Nancy and Hawkeye took 2nd in the 26" Steeplechase Finals and Olav and Boomer also finished 'in the money'.
Other Bay Team titles -- Naomi Harada and Cruiser finished their RM and Pat Kaufman and Haley finished their SM.
